I worked with Billie at Firestone, in the combined offices of "Stock Cutting," and the "Calender Room."  In the "Plant" environment, there are not very many people that are enjoyable to work around.  Billie was always solid and trustworthy.  For about a year, when we would get off from working the night shift, we would go down to Nelson Park and jog about 2 miles every morning.  I will be unable to attend Billie's memorial service, but would like to extend my sympathy to the Family.

For Jesus taught that someday “all those in the memorial tombs” will be resurrected. John 5:28
Isaiah 25:8:  He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken [it].
Revelation 21: 3, 4: " With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Steve Bryant A Great Loss October 6, 2011

Billy was an amazing friend who always had a great candid and refreshing way of looking at life. Our friendship began during the years we both supervised at Firestone.  I have so many great memories of fishing trips to Southern Illinois and hours spent on Lake Selbyville.  When I left Decatur and started moving around the country he always made it a point to stayed in touch.  I will miss our exchange of telephone calls and most of all his wonderful friendship.  The world is diminished by our loss.  May you rest in peace my friend.  My sincere condolences to Janet and Billy’s family.
